Before the 2018 Farm Bill Act consolidated the reality that CBD is widespread in homes across the country, states such as Colorado have pioneered cannabinoid products. Discover CBD's Colorado roots, which are responsible for brand stability in the CBD landscape.

With multiple US locations, locations in Texas and Illinois, products in more than 200 stores, and availability in 10 countries, Discover CBD is constantly seeking new ways to evolve. The company uses its Active CBD oil brand as a path for research, development and innovation.

"We have applied what we have learned from consumers and physicians in Colorado to our products," said Melinda Bloch, Chief Operations Officer. "The result was a powerful and affordable CBD that forms the basis of our brand and that we are most proud of – caring about what people put into their bodies and put quality above profits."

Establishment of a foundation for CBD security

Discover CBD has always had an innovative team of people looking for solutions on behalf of CBD consumers. Before this became the norm, they played an important role in determining the placement of QR codes on CBD packaging for easy access to third-party test results. After that, they developed the concept further and performed batch tests at every product run – not just an annual audit like many others did.

Their dedicated consumer safety measures paid off and they experienced the fruits of their work first-hand as they became one of the few brands willing to meet the requirements of the state of Indiana, where stringent standards already set the QR code system required on the spot.

"We were one of the first in the industry to introduce CDPHE licenses, QR codes for each product, batch testing with a third-party lab, and the implementation of an ISO 6 cleanroom manufacturing facility. We want to make sure people feel safe buying and using our products, "said Bloch.

While a particularly clean space for making CBD products sounds like a good idea, an ISO 6 clean room is a particularly proactive idea for achieving effective quality and hygiene standards. With only a few safety certifications for CBD manufacturers, Discover sees these measures as an expression of its commitment to the future of clean and transparent products.

"The federal government is likely to intervene and create a regulatory framework for this industry, and we want to be one step ahead of that. That's why we've made sure that QR codes and our newly manufactured, customized ISO 6 clean room are introduced. It maintains extremely high standards, customer confidence and consumer safety, "said Bloch.

Creation of new CBD products for a global market

With the goal of introducing CBD into more markets, Discover CBD knows they need to remain competitive and continually improve their security processes. Their high operating standards have indirectly led to laboratory innovations, including the production of water-dispersible CBG and CBN tinctures. It is believed that CBN or cannabinol helps with inflammation and provides antibacterial support, while CBG or cannabigerol are promising as an anticancer agent.

With each offering, Discover CBD aims to show consumers how much they believe in high quality cannabinoid research and bring the safest products to market.

"While we always strive to stand out from the competition, we ultimately want a safer CBD industry that people can trust," says Bloch. "High safety standards have opened our doors in the US and around the world. The standards that we have introduced for our products are great not just for our entire company but for each one of our customers, and we will continue to do so on their behalf after innovation search. "
