Weed tea can be a good start to the day if it is properly prepared. This guide will go into detail on everything you need to know to make cannabis-infused tea. We'll also show you different ways to infuse tea so you can brew it regardless of dietary restrictions.

We will also do our best to explain the advantages and disadvantages of each method and to help you decide which method is best for you.

Here's what you need to make weed tea.

The first step in making weed tea is to decide how you want to infuse it. The next section of this post shows you the different methods you can use.

You also need equipment:

  • Keurig or single-serving coffee machine. (optional)
  • kettle
  • tea bag or your choice

7 different methods for the production of weed tea

The great thing about weed tea is that there are so many different ways to infuse it! Here are the most common methods:

Pure cannabis flower (must be decarboxylated)

The most common method I have seen on the Internet is to wrap cannabis ingredients, kief and tea ingredients in a tea bag and let them soak in boiling water. This is definitely the easiest method, but we don't recommend it.

The problem with that? THC and other cannabinoids are not water-soluble. For this method to work, you need to pick up the small pieces of plants and crystals that fell from the cannabis and got through the tea bag. This method works to infuse tea, but it will be the worst tasting on this list and you will end up wasting a considerable amount of cannabis. Since cannabis is not water-soluble, the best way to use pure cannabis flowers is to add a teaspoon of Keif directly to your tea.

If you want to use this method, you must first decarboxylate your cannabis! This is the most important step, otherwise your tea will have no psychoactive effects.

Cannabis coconut oil

A good way to make weed tea is to add a teaspoon or two of coconut oil infused with cannabis. This is a great method for people who are ketogenic or want to enjoy tea without carbohydrates.

Cannabis Sugar

The use of cannabis sugar is probably our preferred method of making tea infused with cannabis. The only disadvantage of cannabis sugar is that it is not an easily edible medium. We have a comprehensive guide to making cannabis sugar here, but again, it's pretty difficult.

If this is your first time making cannabis foods, we recommend infusing your tea with another ingredient on this list. If you want to take on a challenge, this is the best way to make weed tea!

Cannabis honey

Cannabis honey is a great way to make weed tea. This ingredient is relatively easy to make and will taste exponentially better than if you used the pure cannabis flower method.

Cannabis milk

The great thing about using cannabis milk to make weed tea is that this ingredient can also be used in a lot of edible recipes! Weed tea only needs a few teaspoons of cannabis milk, but if you make a few cups, you'll have everything you need to do all the recipes here.

Cannabis Cream

Like cannabis-infused milk, cream infused with cannabis is a very flexible edible medium, which means that it can be used in a ton of edible recipes. If you choose to make cannabis cream, you can turn almost any recipe that uses cream into an edible recipe!

cannabis tincture

There are many weed tea recipes that require cannabis tinctures. These work well, but tinctures are the first step in making cannabis sugar, which will taste a lot better. If you already have a cannabis tincture, we recommend making cannabis sugar as you are already halfway there.

To determine the effectiveness of your weed tea, you must first know the effectiveness of the ingredients you are using. If you don't know, go to the post that corresponds to the ingredient you are making. At the end of this article there is a calculator with which you can determine the effectiveness of your ingredient.
